After the huge explosion in Beirut, many of the children suffering from cancer have been transferred to CCCL after other hospitals have been badly damaged. This explosion added to the crisis we are all suffering from. Sanad Lebanon responded to the Center’s campaign “Cancer does not wait”, and donated a cash amount to support center’s efforts to provide access to free treatment and care to all children with cancer in Lebanon and the region, without any discrimination. Sanad Lebanon wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured following the explosion of Beirut Port, mercy for the martyrs and patience for their families.

Sanad Lebanon Rewards winners of the 2020 edition of the Hikmat Naser Award for Innovation
On 07 September 2020, Sanad Lebanon with its partner, the National Association for Science & Research, announced the results of the first edition of the Hikmat Naser Award for Innovation. This Award rewards students who have distinguished themselves through the quality of their work and their commitment to innovation. This year 45 Schools participated in the Science competition, 58 projects competed in 6 categories: Robotics, Information Technology, Environment and natural resources, Health and life science, physics and chemistry, Astronomy.

In coordination with the Ministry of Education and in the presence of the education chief for Nabatiyeh, Mr. Akram Abo Shakra, Sanad Lebanon held a "coordination educational meeting" with the directors of public schools within (Union of Municipalities AlKalaa) /Bint Jbeil district, to discuss the educational issue, especially how to start the school year Successfully. The meeting began with the Lebanese National Anthem, then an opening speech by the General Director of Sanad Lebanon, Dr. Nadim Mansouri, in which he referred to the importance of the meeting, which aims to acquaintance and coordination to discuss all the challenges faced by students, teachers and parents. Then there was the speech of the President of Sanad Lebanon, Mr. Hikmat Nasser from Belgium, through Zoom, in which he thanked the Director General of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Fadi Yarq, for his cooperation in holding this meeting, and for the participation of the education chief in Nabatiyeh, Mr. Akram Abu Shakra, and the president of the municipality of Haris, Mr. Imad Suleiman Ahmed Represented by Vice President Mr. Ali Nassour, and school directors, to attend this meeting to discuss and think to reach solutions that save the future generation. Then the education chief, Mr. Akram Abu Shakra, presented his intervention, expressing his happiness in holding this educational meeting in Haris, with the participation of the school directors. Abu Shakra detailed all the challenges facing the next year, especially the health challenges due to the Corona pandemic, the expected big numbers of students and the extent to which schools can accommodate these numbers, the equipment, the need to train teachers on techniques… And he expressed his thanks to the Sanad Lebanon for its initiative, and its readiness for practical cooperation to save the school year and cooperate for what is in the interest of the students. Then the discussion opened with directors, reviewing the requirements of the next year in an effort to overcome the difficulties facing everyone. The discussion was fruitful, rich and informative. Then the director of the educational sector in Sanad Lebanon, Rabie Baalbaki, presented a detailed reading of the reality of the technical equipment and the difficulties facing the public in terms of preparing teachers and empowering their capabilities, explaining some practical solutions. Finally, Mr. Ali Nassour, on behalf of the Mayor of Haris, Mr. Emad Suleiman Ahmed, thanked Sanad Lebanon for this valuable initiative, welcoming all attendees to Haris, wishing success for this initiative and work and cooperation in the future for what is good for the town and the region. Sanad Lebanon participated in the coordination meeting in the Beirut municipality, which was called by the head of the Forward Emergency Room, General Sami Al-Hawaik, to follow up on the humanitarian and social conditions in the affected area in Beirut. The meeting was attended by General Director of Sanad Lebanon and General Coordinator of the Digital Transformation Network in Lebanon Dr. Nadim Mansouri, President "ALMA" and "PCA" Kamil Moukarzel, President of the "Professional Informatics Association" Rabie Baalbaki, Head of Informatics and Technology George Khoueiry, representing members "Beirut Shall Rise" campaign, Muhammad Diab and Ziad Munther from PCA, Joseph Bou Saab, represented by "Olive Tree Foundation / Sweden", Nora Al Marabi, an expert in information technology in the DT Network, Colonel Adeeb Saliba, Shaheen Hamza from the Lebanese Red Cross, and the two experts Rizkallah Shartouni and Adeeb Al-Qaei. Primary objectives of the meeting:
- Explaining the general situation in Lebanon concerning the economic, health and security aspects.
- Challenges and difficulties confronting the Advanced Emergency Room while managing this crisis and the proposed solutions to overcome the complications.
- Introducing the audience to the working mechanism of the Advanced Emergency Room and discussing the means of managing the aid in order to deliver it adequately to those affected by the explosion.
- Explaining the best ways to cooperate and coordinate between these organizations and the Advanced Emergency Room with the aim of getting the best results possible.
- Questions were asked by the guests attending the meeting and LAF officers gave the answers.
- The working environment during the meeting was positive and all the representatives expressed their full cooperation with the LAF to ensure the success of this mission.

In an effort to combat the risk of the Coronavirus epidemic, Sanad Lebanon has donated 500 corona examination units, to the benefit of Tibnin Governmental Hospital, with the aim of providing the necessary laboratory tests free of charge for potential infected with Coronavirus. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tibnin Governmental Hospital, Dr. Muhammad Hammadi, directed a letter of thanks to the association, stating: “We express our deep thanks and appreciation to the Sanad Lebanon, for the support of the Tibnin Governmental Hospital and for the success of the launch of its laboratory that it established to confront the Corona epidemic.” Sanad Lebanon wished health and safety for all the people of the south and Lebanon in general, thanking Dr. Muhammad Hammadi for his efforts, cooperation and his constant work to complete health care in the south.

“We Support Your Health”In compliance with the government’s decision and the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities to wear masks, Sanad Lebanon launched a campaign under the slogan “We Support Your Health” by distributing more than 5,000 masks to citizens, to preserve their health, and in an effort to urge them to adhere to health standards to avoid a second wave of the epidemic. The President of Sanad Lebanon, Mr. Hikmat Nasser, and Dr. Nadim Mansouri, visited the Director of the Tibnine Governmental Hospital, Dr. Muhammad Hammadi, in the presence of Mr. Ali Saad. Dr. Hammadi praised this useful initiative and the association's continuous tender to serve the region, and toured with its visitors in the hospital departments and in the newly established Corona PCR examination laboratory. Mr. Hikmat Nasser expressed his happiness to visit Tibnin Governmental Hospital, which is the real valve for health security in the south. He also thanked Dr. Hammadi for his distinguished management, wishing continued cooperation for the benefit of the public interest. The campaign was completed by distributing masks to the municipality of Haris, the town’s mayors, the school, the town’s mosques and its commercial establishments.
